Plasma torches (cutting torches)
On our website you can find a wide range of plasma cutting torches. This type of component is intended for joint use with devices operating on the basis of the technology. Some models are designed for connection to CNC machines for high-precision and shape cutting of metals or their alloys.
The device and key features of the torch
A standard plasma torch (torch for plasma cutting) consists of a body, which is also a handle, as well as a working part and a connecting sleeve. A control key is installed on the handle, which in most modifications is protected by a safety device against accidental pressing. The housing is connected to the compressed air hose with a movable joint in order to prolong the life of the device during intensive use.
Inside the working part there is a cathode connected to the negative pole of the apparatus. The nozzle of the plasma torch is also located here, which is connected to the positive pole of the power supply through the control key. The nozzle has a hole of a certain diameter (depending on the power of the model), designed to supply the plasma flow.

After pressing the control key, the corresponding current and compressed air are supplied to the working part of the device through the connecting hose. At this moment, an igniting arc is formed inside the nozzle, which, under the influence of compressed air pressure, breaks out and comes into contact with the metal being processed, which in turn is connected to the mass. As a result, the arc interacts with the material, creating a so-called plasma, melting it and thereby cutting.
